O'Neill Marine's patented structural steel ramps are specially designed to make boat launching and loading as safe and easy as possible.  They are inexpensive to install compared to a traditional concrete ramp which utilizes a cofferdam construction.  Total installation time is greatly reduced making the project more cost effective.

Total time of installation shown - 45 minutes

The shore excavation is performed and a large piano hinge pin is tied into the approach apron with Rebar reinforcement. This provides the mount and finishes off the leading edge of the concrete. The structural steel ramp is lifted into place; the hinge pin inserted; and the ramp lowered into place. (Concrete approach and installation by others.)

While this ramp is not designed for all installations, here are some definite advantages.

Because our ramps allow water to pass through them, minimal water is displaced.  This feature makes receiving permits much easier because our ramps are environmentally friendly.  With our ramp taking up minimal spacial volume because the water passes through it, only a minimal amount of dirt must be removed to make up for the new space being taken up.

Ramps are easily moved from one location to another, or totally removable (especially in northern environments where ice push is a danger) or moveable to other locations.  Safety is one of our top priorities and our ramps all feature a non-slip ramp surface. Ramps can be installed in either span or cantilever fashion just as long as there is some kind of support to compliment the piano hinge abutment.

Ramps average from 12.5'x30' to 15'x60'.
